TAPPUTI AND THE SEA . CAPE TOWN EDITION
Limited edition of perfume vessels and a specially developed scent in collaboration with natural perfumer House of Gozdawa. The speakers gift for the 22nd Design Indaba conference 2017.
"A scent experience and story written in fragrance and object. The mouth blown holder gives a direction of ritual, protecting and enhancing the composition of the fragrances. Dyed natural sea sponges holds the handmade solid perfume made of only natural oils sourced from the African continent and around the Cape.
All natural ingredients blend and adapt to your skin giving a unique experience for each individual. By natures laws this is a limited edition as each oils crop change following the soil, season and year. This body of scent was created with Cape Town as it's muse, moving between wet and dry landscapes, from the sea to the land. The air passes over the dark depths of the ocean, washing over the shore and beaches into the fynbos covered mountains. Notes of kelp emerge from its depths and move into the heat of burnt wood, followed by the warm sweetness of silver-bush everlasting flower, Namibian myrrh, jasmine and fennel. This scent takes you through the harmony of land and sea, the very harmony that connects the land and its ever surrounding ocean in Cape Town."
Scent and perfume developed in collaboration with perfumer Agata Karolina founder of House of Gozdawa.
